TECHNO-Frenzy
I've been reading and reading blogs of others and I am very confused as to what it means to me. I am just starting out and it is still very technical to me. I don't Twitter or even know exactly what it is. Should I know all of this stuff to teach second graders. What does it mean to my classroom?

Hello, I believe I am in your class through Walden. I am in the same situation as you are. I have read and read and can not find anything that excites me or how to use the blogging yet. I felt better though to read you had the same feelings. I was worried I might be the only one not sure of its benefit for me.
ReplyDeleteI like what you have planned and I am trying to come up with my own idea to also include my students and mathematics. But as I think about your question " What does it mean to my classroom?" I guess it means that you will be up to par with the hcildren. It amazes me when I see my kindergarten whip around on the internet and play on her sites. My other two children 9 and 11, love the ability to read little excerpts and move on. I guess that is what blogging is. SO for you with second graders, you can have them use the spelling or vocabulary words to create entries for the week. That is if you use spelling... our district stopped teaching spelling as a course. OUt of context it is useless according to the "pros". Maybe I could be a blogger and use the space to go on about my soap box issues.
Anyway, just trying to help come up with a way to use the blogging with second graders. HOpe that helps and good luck with your blog!!!
