Wow! That seemed to take forever! This would totally drive me crazy. I use Everyday Math, but I have everything I need on a flipchart. No materials are required. What time of the day do you do this? One thing that might make it go a little faster is having your erasers and dry erase boards in separate areas from each other. Than you could have one student getting the kits, one student getting erasers, and another student getting dry eraser boards from each group. Another thing you could try is getting one magazine holder for each group. Not the cardboard kind...maybe the plastic ones. Then put 4 or 5 boards and erasers in each one. That way they can be grabbed as quickly as the toolkits. I'll keep thinking about it for you!
Katie, Thank you for the suggestions. I am interested in what you use; where did you get the flipcharts? I thought about putting a bag with erasers and markers for each group on top of the toolkits. At least that would be easier to carry. Any more suggestions are MORE than welcome! Kerry
