Podcast-Student Use of Technology

PLEASE CLICK ON TITLE FOR PODCAST:
In response to my assignment for my class on the Impact of technology on education, society and the workplace, I interviewed four students to identify their use of technology. According to Mark Prensky(2001), students born after 1982 are determined to be Digital Natives based on the amount of media and technology use they have. Anyone born before that is a Digital Immigrant. The students I interviewed were Digital Natives but did not use their technology to the same extent as my own four college-age children. They are truly Digital Natives with their constant texting, Facebooking, listening to music, and TV viewing all at the same time. This seems to prove my theory that the older the student, the more social the uses of technology.

Prensky, M. (2001). Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants. On the Horizon , 9 (5).
